Cherise Serfontein
Founder & Biokineticist
Cherise graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2019 after she received her undergraduate degree in BSc Sport Science and thereafter BSc (Hons) in Biokinetics with distinctions. She has pursued further experience working with a wide variety of conditions including orthopaedic injuries, neurological diseases, women’s health concerns and chronic pain. Cherise has completed additional certifications in Mat Pilates, epigenetic testing, kinesiostrapping, massage therapy and pre-and post-natal exercise prescription through Fit4Two.
As a biokineticist, Cherise practices with a results-driven approach that incorporates in-depth analysis, personalized movement prescription and patient education and empowerment to enhance health. She is passionate about creating individualized rehabilitation or exercise protocols that not only address and manage current symptoms, but also intensely focus on preventative care and performance.
Cherise is also passionate about medical education, and has spoken at medical conferences and summits about her profession, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pregnancy and more.
Cherise is well-versed in treating a diverse variety of musculoskeletal, metabolic and neurological conditions. She has a special interest in athletes, diabetes management, the elderly, pregnancy, PCOS, lower back pain, knee injuries, muscle pain related to postural stress, and orthopaedic injuries.
Outside of the practice, Cherise loves to travel, go for hikes, play sports (including Brazilian jiu-jitsu) , and watch documentaries.
